# OVERVIEW ## The first round of the season will start Saturday January 22nd 2022 Team Golf is a new Concept for an old Game. The simple objective of Team Golf is to bring the camaraderie and excitement of team sport to golf. Teams are comprised of 6 players (3 minimum requirement) playing 9 holes of golf. The best three individual player scores are added together to form the Team Score. Teams compete against each other in a round robin season with finals at the end of the round robin. (Teams do not need to play physically with each other). Players can play anytime it suits (subject to bookings), no designated time brackets, the only restriction is players can not play by themselves. They must play with at least one other Team Golf player. It's open to anyone and everyone, beginners, members, social golfers, professionals......anyone. Handicaps and divisions make the event fair and because you play when it suits you there is no need to feel pressured or embarrassed. # IN DETAIL Enter as an individual and join a team or enter your own team of 6 players. It's FREE to register, you only pay as you play. Members pay a 9 hole comp fee of $4 Non Members pay a discounted 9 hole Green fee plus the comp fee totalling $20. Two leagues, Open and Golflink Handicap: Open League is for all standards and features maximum handicaps of 72 and tee-up options for beginners. The Golflink Handicap league is for players with an official handicap only. Play as many rounds in a week as you like, try to improve on your score to help out your team. Your BEST score for the week counts towards the team score. Each round lasts one week, each week you play a different team. After playing all teams, there are finals and an eventual winner. Season ending presentation night similar to the “Brownlow Medal”. Team and Individual awards apply.
